If you were kind enough to read my post “They Said It Would Never Last” in the last 48 hours you probably noticed that it seemed to start in the middle. That’s because it did. I somehow managed to leave out some critical portions of the text when I transferred the story into the blog. I have corrected it and would be delighted if you would all take another look.

Great post! My parents didn’t think my marriage would last either, and here we are almost 31 years later. Both our parents had marriages of longer than 50 years too!
Maybe not 50, but I’m pulling for another 25 for you.

I know the feeling. When we were married almost 53 years ago we were told that we were “not dry behind the years.” Unfortunately, the fathers that said this did not live long enough to see us persevere thru thick and thin and make it this far. If only we had another to 50 years to look forward to.
